She is the journalist journalist. This is what I like

to say about Lexi, which I'm blowing her grand intro by naming her already. But any beauty editor,

any journalist in general, just like Denessa Myrix is the makeup artist, makeup artist,

Lexi is the beauty journalist, journalist. We love her stories. She's a friend of the pod.

She's been on the pod before. We've talked about her work extensively here. But for those of you who

may not be familiar, she's a, well, she's actually not a freelance reporter anymore. I've since

learned. She's Glossie's West Coast correspondent. Hallelujah. Glossy's lucky to have her.

But Lexi co-created, she co-produced and hosted Refinery 29's docus series Shady.

This series was one of my all-time favorite pieces of content to ever live on the internet.

It examined the culture, commerce, and controversy behind the beauty and wellness industries.

The stuff that Lexi found out, chef's kiss, truly mesmerizing and very, very important. She won a Webby Award for

her investigation into child labor and rural India tied to American makeup company. So she's doing

really important work and really kind of blowing the lid off of a lot of

things that maybe you as a listener may not be privy to. Before that, she was the founding editor
