Corinne is a professional trail runner for Adidas Terrix, also the co-host of the Trail Society podcast, a coach at Carmichael Training Systems, and in general, one of the more involved people in our sport.

We talk about the good and the bad of growth in our sport, especially relating to brand

building, race organizing, drug testing, and the overall professionalization of ultra running.

We dig into a bit of coaching and running science topics like racing frequency, off-season execution, and research-related

wish lists. Corinne talks about how she got involved on the media side of the sport and her thoughts

on commentary, race coverage, and all the personalities in our community. Let's get started.

I'm so happy to be here. It's been a long time coming. We've been punting this one down

the road for a while. I know. I really appreciate your patience with me. But yeah,

I'm excited as well. I just finished listening to your annual review of the sport of trail running podcast with Dylan

Bowman. And I think this is probably a good place to dig in. What is exciting you most about

the sport of trail running right now and why? I mean, I think there's a lot of different things

that are super exciting. We've got a bunch of organizations trying to jockey for control of the sport

with different race series.

We've got, I mean, I was blown away by the women's performances this past year just across

the board, getting to witness Western States in person, getting to witness Courtney DeWalter

win UTMB in person, getting to watch, you know, up-and-comers like Annie Hughes, throw down at Moab 240,

like the sport is alive and well. And there are really cool, I mean, people at the kind of like

the senior echelon that are crushing it. And then we've got all this young talent coming into the

sport, some from road running in that scene, but honestly, just like from everywhere. So I think it's,
