But first, let me introduce the subject of tonight's

conversation, because it's a subject that's very near and dear to my heart,

and that is

is skepticism.

This is near and dear to my heart because in fact I consider myself to be a

skeptic or at least the dictionary definition of a skeptic, which is either one, a person who questions

the validity or authenticity of something purporting to be factual, or two, a person who maintains a doubting attitude as towards values, plans, statements,

or the character of others.
