Okay, maybe you were in college, maybe you're in the military, working for some big company,

starting a family. Maybe you weren't even born yet. Well, I was working for AT&T as a large

systems account rep. What that means is that I sold systems to folks that needed a thousand phones

or more at one location.

But something else happened 30 years ago.

Do you know what it was?

That's right.

The first text message was sent 30 years ago.

A tech in the UK actually sent it to his boss who was at a Christmas party.

So the first text said, Merry Christmas.

And then when they were back in the office, the boss was so proud of this tech that he was able to send that text message that he gave him a huge raise.

That's right.

Well, it was an adjustable computer chair.

Mm-hmm.
