You know that feeling when it seems like everyone is trying to be a bigger victim than everyone else? And as long as someone presents themselves as a victim, no one is allowed to disagree with them or question them in any way? Our culture has put a premium on victimhood, and it has even infected the church. But Cooper Stuff is here to remind you that there are no victims in the kingdom! Today, we discuss our identity in Christ, having received sonship that we do not deserve. Then, we read a couple of articles—namely about David Platt’s McLean Bible church and a new book by Joshua Harris’s x-wife, Shannon Harris—to illustrate the incorrect worldview of victimhood that has infected Christianity.
