This week is our monthly chatty show where Denise and I just pretend that we're sitting around

a table with you, catching up and talking about things that have been on our mind.

And this week we were talking since we've done a couple of episodes now on narcissist, like

are you married to a narcissist, is one of your parents a narcissist.

We have gotten so many emails and Facebook messages from listeners saying, I think I might be

a narcissist. Can I be an empath and a narcissist?

My response has always been no, I don't think you can be both, but Denise you did a little bit more research on this.

I did because I started. But Denise, you did a little bit more research on this.

I did, because I started throwing around that narcissist word a lot, like everything you

pick up, it's narcissist, and I do think this is a genuine thing.

But then I started thinking, all these people can't be

narcissists. Some people are just self-absorbed. They're just very into

themselves or they're egotistical or they haven't had to share the life, whatever that may be.

So I started like jumping down the rabbit hole a little bit to see and one of the big big key things

that kept coming up was does this person feel empathy do they feel remorse do they

feel so that was a key key part in because a true from what I read, a true narcissist doesn't feel empathy.

And their moods are going to depend on someone else, not on, they're like so tied into getting that fed.

If someone's just self-centered, they're not going to have all the

conflicting symptoms of like extreme dependency on others, feeling superior, being

disdainful, and all that stuff. the the lack of empathy thing is a huge
