What I can say about being black is that it does not come with any luxuries.

The luxuries that media may say is a luxury,

it's not. Because of the way America is set up, those things that we may be naturally good at

or that we may have naturally are oftentimes the things that save us or put us in better

situations. And that's not a luxury. It's all we've got.

Happy Monday, guys. I hope you're having a good start to your week. If you notice, you are only hearing

my voice on the mic today. And that is because I have a bit of news for y'all who are regular

listeners to the podcast. If this is your first episode, then it won't really matter,

but if it's not and you've been following along, it might matter a little bit to you.

So after some hard conversations and time, Megan has decided to step away from the podcast.

If you've been listening from the beginning, you'll remember that I started

the podcast by myself and after recording with Megan, we thought it would be really fun to do this

thing together. And really, I'm being honest, it was really fun. However, life is changing and both

Megan and I have to be very cognizant of what and how we spend our time

and energy on because we are human and also because of the nature of our jobs and our careers.

So both of our lives are moving and changing a lot.

You guys know you've heard Megan talk about her getting married and all of that.

What that looks like.

We no longer

work in the same office and there's just a lot of things happening in my life as well and everything is

happening fast and so Megan just decided that she wants and needs to put her energy into things
