We think that we call to God and then God answers.

We see our relationship with the divine as one that

we speak and then he responds. But in reality, Allah is the only doer. He is not dependent on you. Yes, we

call out to Allah and he responds. But in a deeper sense, whenever we call to God, it's because he

called us to begin with. He put something in our heart to long for

him. And so our reaching out to him is a response to what he already planted inside of us.

You know, we pray our prayers with God's own words. I mean, that's so interesting. Use God's

own words to speak to God because what can be worthy of him except for his own speech

and how his speech brought you into existence,

brought your prayer, Matt,

and everything else you touch and see and don't see into existence

because existence came through the speech of God.

It's almost bewildering.

and who always guides us back no matter how far we have been led astray.
