Summary

If you are curious about connections between metabolic dysfunction and the strength of your immune system but don't have time to listen to this video you disappoint me! 🤣 JK! But you should listen to this one and share it with someone in your life who is obese (and likely pre-diabetic) who doesn't think they are at risk of a bad COVID outcome, or maybe they are terrified but don't know what they can do about it other than cowering in their homes and continue eating junk. Nothing changes without a spark. Maybe you showing these ideas to someone will be the spark that saves their life. Or not, which is why I'll keep doing what I'm doing even amidst worsening censorship. Can't hold the truth down forever. #theremembering

0:06.0

I, this is my once weekly installment of solo casts. I will often get to do a little monologue,

0:12.0

a soloiquey, and whatever I think is most interesting. Sometimes they have to do with what I talked about on the podcast this week,

0:18.0

and sometimes they don't. I think that the feedback from so many of you has been so intrigued or at least engaged with coronavirus

0:26.0

coronavirus that I wanted to really highlight a few of the points that I've or and I made in the podcast from Tuesday this week at Fundamental Health,

0:34.0

which is on the heart and soil website. All of our videos are available there. Many of these videos are being censored or at least a few of them will be censored.

0:47.0

So that WHO redefines the word pandemic, position themselves for profit is metabolic health risk factor for COVID-19.

0:55.0

Crucial COVID-19 update with Ivar Cummins is the hysteria the hysteria wanted that is our original podcast we had a video on YouTube get taken down the title of it was the WHO is science deniers imagine that that violated the community guidelines.

1:11.0

And even though we were talking about science and I got a strike so who knows got a tepto carefully if we're going to continue to provide content on YouTube I am being muzzle anyway that's what happens.

1:23.0

We'll try and work around it. What are some of the most interesting parts of that podcast from Ivar that I really wanted to talk about.

1:30.0

I think this goes back to the connections between immunologic disorders or at least disorders of the immunologic system in connection with metabolic dysfunction.

1:43.0

This is the podcast with Tommy would that I did a number of weeks ago you can search Tommy would at the heart and soil website.

1:50.0

And there is a whole section of that podcast on immunomatabolism, but the idea is that your metabolism and your immune system are intimately connected they are not extricable they are not dissectable.

2:03.0

We are a whole being we cannot balconize we cannot silo ourselves into organ systems this is the problem with Western medicine.

2:11.0

We have rheumatologists we have immunologists we have orthopedists we have cardiologists we have endocrinologist we have psychiatrist we have neurologist we have physiatrist we have internal medicine docs we have family medicine docs we have OBGYNs and we have GI docs and everything is connected everything else.

2:31.0

So in the case of immunomatabolism whose realm is that is that a psychiatrist realm because it clearly affects the brain and it's going to affect the neurotransmitters and inflammation the brain has clearly been linked to worse outcomes for suicide and depression anxiety bipolar that's clearly been shown.

2:48.0

I'll do a whole nother podcast on that in the future or is it going to affect the GI doc who can show that metabolic dysfunction is going to affect the way that the immune system works in the gut.

2:57.0

This is the problem with our current medical formulation is that by going into specialties and patting ourselves in the back saying I am a gastroenterologist everyone bend any everyone cow towel and listen to me.

3:10.0

I know exactly what is going on with the GI system and everyone else is wrong or the cardiologist says I am a cardiologist I am therefore the Pope of cardiology and infallible or the rheumatologist says I am the one who has dominion over the inflammatory disorders.

3:25.0

Or the immunologist says wait a minute this involves T cells and B cells and peripheral mononuclear blood cells so that's my territory and everybody is so busy bickering about whose job it is that they can't connect the dots and that's the problem there's a lot of turf for medicine and this really kills me.

3:42.0

And that's one of the reasons that I don't really think about my specialty anymore I did my residency in psychiatry I don't practice psychiatry anymore I enjoyed and enjoyed learning about mental health disorders I certainly saw a connection with inflammation metabolic health neuro inflammation neuro transmitters and the illnesses that claim the most lives of anything in the world that caused the huge amount of morbidity depression anxiety are clearly the biggest loss of

4:11.0

quality of life for Americans but I think it's more about connecting things which is why I got board certification in nutrition really just to be able to defend myself from attacks of those who are petty and seek to say you don't have a credential well this one's for you guys up yours.
