Today I got to talk to Dr. Matthew Villet and I'm just so thankful that he took the time

He's been a mentor and a friend of mine for the past year and a half and he's someone

I've gone to for consultation on a regular basis.

He's been giving me training and relational frame theory which is kind of the main, I don't

know psychological modality that I function out of and my clinical practice both with

clients and in the videos that I make in all the time.

A lot of that stuff is informed by relational frame theory and so we kind of talk a little

bit about what that is in this podcast especially at the beginning just kind of talking a little

bit about I don't know that for a lot of people or a lot of therapists or clinicians who

use it, it's a pretty complex theory to kind of wrap your head around at the beginning

but it really gives you some freedom, it gives you some flexibility around clinical

practice that's really impactful and so we just talk about maybe the interplay of having

a complex theory that creates freedom and hopefully untangles and unwinds complexity

and client's lives and so that was fun and then we actually got into a little bit of

a disagreement halfway through the podcast and we're going back and forth and we really

found this common ground that was really beautiful and unplanned and engaging on just maybe
