Today, we are honored to welcome an esteemed panel of guests to discuss the issue of unmasking elder abuse with my co-host, Lori LeBae. Welcome to the inaugural episode of Conscious Caregiving with LNL. Thank you all so much for being with us today in the esteemed panel. I would like to start by asking you all to do a short introduction of your background credentials, experiences, and anything else you'd like to share with our audiences. Paul Greenwood, I'd like to start with you.

Sure, thank you, Lance. Yeah, my name is Paul Greenwood. I am a lawyer. I've been a lawyer for over 43 years, initially in the UK, where I was first a trainee barrister and then a solicitor. And then for 25 years, I was a career prosecutor with the San Diego District Attorney's Office. What brings me to the table today is the fact that I was fortunate enough for 22 of those 25 years to prosecute crimes committed against all the adults.

That California defines as anybody over the age of 65, ranging from physical assaults, homicide, sexual assaults, rapes, to neglect, and elder financial exploitation.

Since I retired from that office, I've been very involved with ARP nationally to try to extend and share the information that I've learned in the courtroom over 25 years with a wider audience.

Yes, thank you for inviting me and let me join this panel. I've been a registered nurse for 35 years, and I've been in forensics, forensic nurse since 2000.

I've worked with local, state, federal, and military police in those since 2000, and I've done over 500 forensic cases and elder abuse, sexual assault, trauma, which would be gunshot wound stabings, anything that would be considered a crime.

Well, thank you for being with us today, Susan, and I wanted to mention to you, Susan Carlson is your full name, and we appreciate you being with us today.

I know Chris Sunberg will be joining the panel shortly, and we'll have her do her introduction once she joins us.

Hi, my name is, I'm a gerontologist. I started in the aging field nearly 30 years ago.

It's a nurse aid in a nursing where my grandfather lived.

I worked as a social worker in nursing homes, consultant applied researcher, and over the past 15 years, I conducted a multiple studies on various, aiming to improve understanding and the prevention of various forms of treatment against older adults.

Good morning, Lance and Laurie, thank you for having me on today's session. My name's Bettina Morrow.

I have a 20 plus year career that started in Australia, and proceeded to move to England where I practiced professionally.

For about nine years, and for the last 10 years, I have been living in the United States.

For the past 16 years, I've specialized in elder abuse, with a particular interest in dementia, having completed a master's in dementia through the University of Tasmania.
