Welcome back, friends, to another edition of Conquering Heroes.

And as we promised, we have the Donald R. Shepherd, Director of Athletics at the University of Michigan, Ward Manuel.

And Ward, I'm going to start with the softball, which has no easy answer.

And that is, how you doing?

Yeah, it has no easy answer.

But, you know, the easy answer is, you you know given everything that we are all dealing with

and trying to navigate in with our lives now I'm doing doing well families doing well our

student athletes and coaches and staff are doing well and hanging in there and doing everything.

School started.

So you get somewhat back to normal with the students, you know, being on campus even though, you know, the majority of our classes.

About 60 or 70% of classes are being offered online but the student athletes are

back on campus and students back on campus and make things seem like they're normal again but

you know we're still not in our offices and you know sports have been impacted you, at least to start this fall.

So, yeah, we're just trying to work through everything, but all in all, I'm doing pretty good.
