Michigan Women's Soccer finished the non-conference part of their schedule at 4-1 and 2,

John Chanson. Well, as promised, the head coach of the women's soccer program, Jen Klein, has

joined me today. And coach, first of all, thanks for joining me. You take a record of 4-1-2

in the non-conference into the Big 10 season,

which starts Friday night, but what have you learned about your team in the non-conference

part of your schedule? Man, I learned a lot. I mean, we've had the seventh hardest non-conference

schedule in the country. We went out and played a lot of really challenging and difficult opponents,

but it was done with the intention to gain experience, to be challenged in ways

so that way we could grow and be better prepared for a very difficult and challenging

Big Ten season.

But what I've learned is that our team is committed to the process.

They believe in it's about just, you know, 1% better every single day.

And if we make that focus, we'll be in a great position at the start of our Big Ten season,

against the opponents that we played. I think we're in a really, really good place.

And there was a period of 431 minutes where you guys did not allow a goal. It was a shutout streak.
