But let me ask you first.

I saw Bruce Feldman, Stuart Mandel at the Athletic in their podcast say that an anonymous AD Blue Blood, Blue Blood AD said,

if they could get out of Lincoln Riley's contract, they'd

gladly fire him. If you were grading Lincoln Riley at USC now, classic A to F, what grade do you

give Lincoln Riley with the SoCal Trojans? A D? It's the worst contract in America.

And I did a ranking of this about a month ago, and I had it at one.

I had Mike Norvella to go listen to Saturday Down South Podcasts for the rest of it.

But it's a contract that they can now get out of with cause.

They can fire him with cause and not have to pay that buyout.

Now, I don't know what that lawsuit would look like because that would be inevitable with tens of billions of dollars on the line.

But Matt Hayes wrote about this for USA Today, and it's a great point.

This is an issue that came to the forefront during last season.

He violated the NCAA rule against analysts, and he had improper use

of analysts before that basically got wiped off the table. He was doing that early on in his time

at USC, and he got popped for that. And so that's considered a violation of NCAA rules,

and you can fire him with cause. Now, do I think that USC

wants to instantly go back on a nine figure investment into Lincoln Riley? No, I don't. But

it's a very unique set of circumstances. I don't know how much resistance they would get if they tried to do that, oh, say, like, two or three years from now.
