It is Wednesday, April 30th.

It is the 101st day of the Trump presidency, Trump 2.0.

But it's just another day that ends in why.

He is trying to shift the blame for his shaky economy, tanking stock market and recession fears.

To you guessed it, Joe Biden, I'll talk about that a little bit later on in the program,

and we'll continue to assess the first 100 days of Trump 2.0

with Congressman Robert Garcia and historian Julian Zelizer in just a moment.

I have Mike Fanon joining us in a few moments as well.

But first, an update on one of the more troubling Trump appointments,

and that is of Ed Martin for U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., a critical job of prosecutor for the federal

government in the nation's capital. Martin, as we've talked about on this program before,

is a right-wing cook and election denier. And here to discuss is a former prosecutor, former U.S., excuse me, assistant U.S. attorney in that office in Washington, D.C., and that is Dan Toomey.

And, Dan, I guess it's important to point out, you know, I've had folks on this program.

People like Mike Fanone is going to join us in a few moments to talk about Ed Martin. I guess it's important

to point out, Ed Martin is the interim U.S. Attorney in Washington right now.

That's correct. Yeah. He is scheduled to come up, I would say, probably within the next 20 days for a determination

of, A, whether or not the Senate Judiciary Committee follows our strong recommendation that

they hold a hearing, public hearing, with witnesses so that his malfactions can be aired before they vote, and they can vote 12 to 10, to send his nomination to the full Senate.

Yeah. And Dan, you and other former assistant U.S. attorneys in that office you sort of banded together to try to stop this nomination and
