The U.S. House and Senate have returned from August recess and have a long list of to-do items to tackle,

including avoiding a government shutdown, passing 10 appropriations bills all the way through the House and Senate and getting it to the president, and debating legislation that would slap big tariffs on some

of Russia's trading partners.

But before any of that can happen, one Republican and one Democrat are forcing an issue

that House Speaker Mike Johnson tried to avoid.

That is the release of all of the Epstein files.
