Summary

Congress avoided a partial government shutdown last week with Senate Republicans getting help from Democrats to pass the President Trump backed continuing resolution. The support from Senate Democrats has led to a rift between party leadership and some more progressive members of the caucus. Overseas, the President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin to talk peace in the region, with a phone call expected between President Trump and Putin this week. Nebraska Republican Senator Deb Fischer joins the Rundown to discuss the importance of passing President Trump's agenda, the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, and to give her reaction to the strikes in Yemen over the weekend.  The divorce rate among Navy SEALs and wounded warriors is far higher than the national average. Retired Navy SEAL and best-selling author Jason Redman suffered severe injuries in 2007 when a machine gunners' nest ambushed his patrol in Iraq. He endured thirty-seven surgeries, 1,200 stitches, and a grueling years-long rehab. Miraculously, both he and his marriage survived. Jason Redman and his wife, Erica, join the Rundown to discuss their new book, Mission: Invincible Marriage, and how they overcame the challenges his military career and injuries brought to their marriage-- and how they are trying to help all couples overcome hardships. Plus, commentary from FOX News Contributor Tom Shillue. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
