and my guest today is a beloved comedian who is now the dean of late night

television hosts having anchored a Late Night Show for almost 27 years.

NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien from 1993 through 2009.

NBC is The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien from 2009 through 2010, and TBS's

Conan from 2010 through the present. The funny man with the iconic coiffure Conan O'Brien.

Conan, who really introduced abstract, cartoonish self-deprecating comedy to late night,

has a passionate and fiercely loyal fan base that has come to be known as Team

Cocoa, after a nickname given to him by Tom Hanks, and includes 28.5 million people who

follow him on Twitter more than any other late night host except Jimmy

Fallon, and also even his fellow late night hosts like Stephen Colbert, who recently described

him as quote, the living history of late night close quote over the course of

our conversation the 57 year old and I discussed his pre-late night career

as a writer for NBC Saturday Night Live from 1988 through 1991 and for Foxes the Simpsons

from 1991 through 1993. The challenges and rewards of his long stints hosting late night and Conan and his infamous. and
