0:00.0	All right, guys. So next Sunday, as we launch 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, we're also launching a brand new sermon series where we will spend nine months in the book of Hebrews.
0:15.4	All right, some Hebrews fans. Anybody heard the old joke growing up? What does God do with his coffee? He bruise it.
0:24.9	Do you didn't hear that one? I did. Maybe at the Southern Baptist Church I was at. It was limited
0:29.0	to there. But nine months in one of my favorite books of the New Testament. And we're going to
0:34.9	sit under teaching from an unknown author who is moving the early church
0:41.4	that is rooted in Judaism, this rooted in the old covenant revealed in the Old Testament and telling
0:46.4	them that by the blood of Jesus, God has torn the veil from top to bottom.
0:53.9	It's a big deal that the veil is torn from top to bottom.
0:56.8	It means God did it, not man. If it was going to be man, it would start at the bottom. But if it's
1:02.4	God, it goes top to bottom. And God, by opening access to his presence, has invited sinful
1:09.7	humanity from every tribe and tongue to have the presence of God
1:14.0	accessible to themselves. It means you're a son or a daughter of the living God if you come to Jesus
1:18.4	by grace through faith. And the writer of Hebrews almost can't believe it as he is fleshing out all of these
1:25.7	realities. Like, you think it was good in this moment of Israel's
1:30.3	history. You have no idea what you have right now. But the message of Hebrews is that if we're
1:35.5	truly grateful for what Jesus has done, we will persevere to the end. And so I thought, as we're
1:42.2	getting ready to run a nine-month journey, the series will be the
1:45.2	length of a pregnancy. I don't know who that's for. Maybe it's for Shelby, who's expecting.
1:50.8	On that note, Courtney and I do have an announcement for our church, and it is that we feel like
1:55.8	we are done having children. And I know she just leaned forward if we have what? Oh, yeah. I think I think we're done.
2:03.3	But a nine-month sermon series just fleshing out those verses. But I thought, hey, we got this
2:07.5	moment on January the 5th. What would it look like to set up Hebrews and set up 21 days of prayer
