Hello, everyone, a little bit of an unorthodox episode of getting hammered today.

After this, you're going to hear an interview with my friend Carol Markowitz.

I am in Israel, and I have been in the north of the country and in the south of the country,

in Kibbutzim on both borders, speaking with IDF reservists, speaking with survivors of the attacks in Kfarazza, down in the south of Israel, speaking with survivors of the attacks in Kfaraza down in the south of Israel, speaking

with a survivor of the Nova Music Festival massacre.

And so it will not be a light episode.

But Carol and I have a brief discussion.

And then we have a couple clips from a man who is living

in Kfaraza. He is the only person who has returned to that kibbutz with the hope of showing

others that they also can return and maybe live a normal life.

There are, of course, soldiers there as well to provide security.

I also spoke with Yoni Diller, who tells his whole story of his day at the Nova Festival.

And it doesn't get too gruesome.

It's not extremely graphic, but it is an arc of his entire day,

starting at about four in the morning when he arrives at that festival. So I thought you guys might want to hear it in his own words. And so we talk a little bit about it, Carol and I, and then I'll

hand it off to him and I'll let him tell the whole story. It is heavy to

witness, but also important to remember the stakes. And as always, in Israel, I am struck by

the existential nature of the threats, the determination of the people to win and survive and be resilient because they have no other choice.

And it makes me feel stronger even about standing with them as they do that.

So again, a bit of a different episode, but I hope you enjoy.
