Today we are looking at the 20-year shift. Yes, we are going from 2004-204 to 20-24,24, the 20 year gap and all the ways that comic books and pop

culture have changed in that two decades span, movies, sports, and again, because that is the

focus of our show.

Most importantly, the comic books, the books that were on top, the creative teams.

And we name our all comic book first team from 2004, a great era for comic books, and see if there is a team in the present day in 2024 that can match it.

We discuss all of this and so much more on an all new episode of

Robeservation.

Hey everybody and welcome to another edition of Robeservations. I am your host, Rob Lefeld,

and the only Rob observations that we are making during this show are of the

comic book superhero graphic novel sci-fi fantasy action adventure sort okay kind of a

broad stroke but but but also very narrow in in the genre occasionally I'm going to bring in

some outside sports comparison to round it all up,

to kind of ground it and look at it from a different perspective.

But we talk about comic books.

We talk about superheroes.

The stuff that I have been obsessed with my whole life, the stuff that made my career,

I have been working in comic books for 39 calendar years. I write them. I draw,

I publish them. I have even been part of the printing process because I wanted to get down

and dirty in my background. As a high school kid, I worked at a print shop, so I had a background

in printing. But comic books have been my passion and my obsession. And I have watched as they have become the passion and an obsession of an entire culture pretty much as soon as we crossed over into the 2000s.

And X-Men number one was the number one movie when it was released in the summer 2000.

There was no looking back with the Sony Spider-Man.
