Welcome to this special joint podcast today, the Meridian magazine podcast, and the Scriptures

are Real Podcasts. We're here with Dr. Carrie Mielstein, and we are Scott and Marine Proctor,

and this is such a delight as we today study Isaiah chapters 1 through 12 with the lesson

entitled God is my salvation. We're so thrilled to be together today. And for our listeners who

don't know Carrie, he is a BYU professor of ancient scripture and knows the Old Testament,

and loves the Old Testament, particularly, in a way that I've always found very moving. He's

written a wonderful book, one of my favorites, God will prevail, and also let's talk about the book

of Abraham, but he's also written a book as it happens to be on Isaiah, which is a great thing,

Carrie, because for some people, the next five weeks, five weeks were spending on Isaiah to study

on this come follow me. This is a message to us. We need to know Isaiah.

Yeah, and hello, and welcome, and I'd love to introduce you in just a second, but I'm going to

agree with you that I think that we are getting a strong message that this is important, and we're

going to spend some real time on it. More than a month of our lives will this year will be dedicated

to studying those great words. So thank you for having me on, and maybe I can just introduce my

audience a little bit to Scott Marine, who have known for a number of years, and we've done a

joint podcast once before together. So those who haven't heard it should all go and listen to that

episode as well, back in numbers, but Scott Marine head up Meridian magazine. And so this is an

online source that has current news articles that are of interest, Latter-day Saints, and articles

from an LDS point of view, plus all sorts of religious and gospel topics and essays every now and

then, not as often as I would like, but every now and then I contribute to it, but you have a
