Now today we are studying John Chapter 2 through John Chapter 4

beginning with a wonderful wedding at Cana.

So let us set the scene for what a Hebrew wedding would look like.

At a Hebrew wedding, late in the evening, the bridegroom would set forth from his house attended

by friends and singers to get the bride and bring her home for a feast.

The guests were given fitting robes and the feast was filled with riddles and amusements.

Jesus was in attendance at such a wedding in Cana, which is in Galilee, when his mother, Mary,
