Today, Doctrine and Covenants, section 124.

Now this is the granddaddy of them all as far as size is concerned.

This is the longest section, the most verses, most pages in the Doctrine

and Covenants. And there are also more people mentioned in this section by quite a ways

than any other section in the Doctrine and Covenants. Now, if you look at the heading, you'll notice,

especially when it's side by side with Section 123, that we're going from March of 1839

in Liberty Jail, where you got sections 21, 121, 122, and 123, to now, section 124, if you look

of the heading, it's in January of 1841.

That's a lot of time.

We're almost two full years later, and there's this big gap in the Docturn and Covenants.

There are no canonized revelations coming in here. Keep in mind, there is a lot happening

in this time period that would probably give us some good reasons as to why they're not focusing so much on specific

revelations to put into the Doctrine Convents. Keep in mind, Joseph and those who were with

him that were being transported to a new location from Liberty, the guards had allowed them to escape. And Joseph is going to arrive in Quincy,

Illinois on April 22nd, 1839. And they see the incredible needs of the saints there, and those people in Quincy, Illinois,

there has to be a special place in heaven reserved for how kind they were to these refugees

who they had nowhere to go and it was the middle of the and cold, and they took them in and did everything
