College decision-making is influenced by so many things–parents, peers, teachers, family members, your larger community and more. And as with everything else: all families approach this differently! While some bleed their alma mater colors, others don’t see college as the only option for helping launch kids after graduation. In this episode, Meagan and Sarah have an open-ended conversation about the role college played in our own stories, our family-of-origin culture, and the narrative we’re shaping for our kids now. We also give you a peek into our educational paths, how we made those decisions and how our eight kids perceive the idea of college today. 0:40.5	know what that means. We're we're too deep. It's last week. Last week we

0:59.2	long-term recording podcast plans and just say that we're going to talk about
1:03.8	college today. I am really excited about this topic because Will is going off
1:08.9	to college in the fall. And a couple of weeks ago, I got to drive him up
1:13.1	North. He's going to State University in Northern Michigan, Upper Peninsula.
1:18.3	And it was really fun dropping him off at his orientation and getting to see
1:21.3	the campus just gave me like a big wave of nostalgia and envy. But it also kind
1:25.6	of made me realize he's the first one of my kids to go directly from high school
1:30.4	to college. So like, I don't know. That's interesting, I think. It is interesting.
