Okay, today we have something we haven't done all year,

and that is a deep dive into college football

and the teams that we have right here in our area.

These schools are all sort of at a crossroads this weekend.

The Missouri Tigers are staring at a fork in the road,

whether they remain a contender for the college football playoff or whether that dream dies down.

They're playing at Vanderbilt. College game day is there. It's just been an incredible season again

for Missouri, which is accustomed now to winning 10 games. They just have an incredible knack for winning football games, and this is going to be a

great game against Vanderbilt.

We will talk with Stan Weber about that and who he thinks the best team in the SEC is so

far into the season.

First, we'll start with the KUK State Sunflower Showdown, which is an unusual matchup this time around in that both teams are

staring at a possibility of not making a bowl, yet the winner of this game will still be

alive in the Big 12. There's a lot of parity in the Big 12. There's a lot of tiebreaker

scenarios out there. And if the team that wins this game went on a streak and won

out or something like that, they'd create a bunch of tiebreakers for themselves. You can see that

in their schedules. So anything's possible. Last year at this time, KU turned the corner and

became maybe the best team in the Big 12. Kansas State has, it's pretty hard to explain what

their season has been. It's been disjointed, but they're like 13 points for being undefeated. They've just not been good at finishing off games. They blew a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter of one game. They had a 13-0-0-half-time lead against Army and wound up losing that. It's just been a strange season for Kansas State, but they've probably been better than their record. Kansas is trying to shore up its defense. Stan Weber is here.
