Welcome, everyone to another edition of the Irish Breakdown podcast presented by our friends at Fandul.

We are here to discuss the fourth edition of the CFP rankings, and it is November 25th,

and we have just received after waiting a ridiculously long time for those rankings to come out.

And I would say, gentlemen, not a ton of surprises.

Obviously, some movement towards the back end of the top 25, but I would say the top end,

it's kind of what I expected, to be perfectly honest with you.

But we're going to break it down for you guys.

We're going to talk about some scenarios going into the final week of the season.

And then, of course, there will be another edition of the CFP rankings next Tuesday.

And then the final ranking release will be Sunday, the following Sunday after the championship weekend, right? So, or championship

Saturday. It'll be on Sunday afternoon. And so we'll break it all down for you guys. Just stick

around with Irish breakdown and we got your back on all that. But we're going to break down

the fourth edition, knowing that we have two more to go and kind of what that looks like. And where,

if we expect movement,

all those kinds of fun things. So gentlemen, let's just start off with your initial thoughts on the

rankings as they came out. Is it what you expected? Were there any curveballs that were thrown

your way? Brian, what do you think? Well, first with Notre Dame related to Notre Dame, no. I thought you could make a case for Notre Dame being ahead of Oklahoma.

I think that you could have said, hey, their overall resume is stronger when you look at all the different

analytics that the committee looks at.

But I think that Oklahoma is superficial, like surface level resume strong enough that I'm okay with

where they are. Because the one difference between Alabama and Oklahoma, to me, when it comes

to where they are ranked compared to Notre Dame, because Alabama's got some good wins as well.
