So we decided to make a how to bet college football our intro to betting football.

Obviously we got David Cohen the former QB,

Blaine Crane the former wide receiver.

We've talked about spreads, what a spread is, right?

How much, you know, they think either team is going to win or lose by.

Minus meaning, you know, if Colorado is minus 7 against Utah,

they think Colorado is going to win by at least 7 points.

So a minus is better. A plus means you're the

underdog. That's why you hear plus money. You know you get them for plus money

this that and the other. So you have the spread, that that's the score so if Colorado were to beat

Utah 36 to 30 they would not cover the minus 7 Utah would cover the plus seven.

Now when you get to the over under David and the total,

that's the total amount of points that both teams are going to score.

Yeah, over under total amount of points.

You usually have a 0.5 there, which we call the hook, right? That's just so that you can't have a 0.5 there which we call the hook right that's just so that you can't have a tie now a lot of times in lines that we're seeing you'll see exactly 56 for the over under right but more often than not 56 and a half because you can't score a half points, you get the over under.

Back to the spreads for one second, and I'd like to get your guys thoughts on this.

You know, a couple things I always try and keep in mind when it comes to the spreads is the point of a game is not to cover

the spread. It's to win the football game and that's going through these coaches and these

players minds so often and so I'm you know, I like the money lines more,

especially if you're picking a tight game
