I have a very special guest.

His name is Dr. Alfred W. McCoy.

Last name is MCC-O-Y.

And I'm really delighted to have him.

He's just published a new book.

A full title is Cold War on Five Contents, a Global History of Empire and Espionage.

And Dr. McCoy has been teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for, I think, 30 years now.

And he holds the Fred Harvey

Harrington professorship of history and one of us I was looking through his past and he's

really famous for an earlier book the full title of that book is the politics of heroin

in Southeast Asia CIA complicity in the global drug trade.

It's really one of the great books of post-World War II history, such an important book.

And Tommy wrote it when he was very young. I think he was only 24, 25.

But it's not his, that was one of his first books.

I think he wrote something about La Eia, Laotia before that.

But his other books, some of which I found interesting, I've read through his other books actually interesting,

which is a question of torture, CIA interrogation from the Cold War to the War on Terror.
