0:10.2	We are here in the third week of what could be one of the longest criminal trials in South
0:15.6	Carolina history.
0:17.1	And prosecutors are still building their foundation in their case against Eleg Murdoch.
0:23.3	There have been seven days of testimony so far.
0:26.5	We've heard from 33 witnesses, six of whom did not testify in front of the grand jury.
0:32.8	Those six testified in what's being called a trial within a trial, and in camera hearing
0:39.0	about whether the jury can hear testimony of Eleg's financial pressures at the time of
0:44.4	the murders.
0:45.4	This morning, the state is expected to present its seventh witness in the trial within
0:50.3	the trial, and it is possible that Judge Clifton Newman will issue his decision about letting
0:56.0	an evidence of Eleg Murdoch's prior bad acts.
0:59.5	This decision could be devastating for the defense.
1:02.9	If the jury is able to hear about the financial pressures, then they might understand what
1:08.2	was on Eleg's mind on the day he allegedly murdered his wife and son.
