Bitcoin shedding gains as US stocks tumble and Trump hikes tariffs against China to 145%.

Bitcoin falling below $80,000 in the crypto markets turning red Thursday as U.S. stocks shed another 5 to 6% during the New York trading session, while European and Asian stocks soar after U.S. President Donald Trump hikes China tariffs to 145%.

Yesterday, Trump reduced reciprocal tariffs for other countries by 10% and paused sweeping tariffs on non-retaliating

countries for 90 days to allow for trade negotiations. The European Union also paused tariffs

against the U.S. for 90 days. U.S. listed spot Bitcoin ETF saw 127 million in outflows

Wednesday, according to Farsight investors' data. Nevertheless, asset manager

Grayscale saying trade tensions could be positive for Bitcoin adoption in the medium term,

as they can lead to stagflation and this benefits scarce assets such as gold and Bitcoin. Grayscale
