A judge dismisses a suit against Elon Musk and an FTX executive will be back in court.

Bitcoin experienced a decline falling below $59,000 with a weekly loss of over 3.5% amidst signs of reduced demand and net outflows

for major ETFs like Black Rock's Ibit. On the other hand, exchange data shows a bump in demand

from U.S. retail investors as the Bitcoin price premium on Coinbase has increased to its

highest level since July.

Manhattan judge has permanently dismissed a lawsuit that alleged Elon Musk and Tesla manipulated the price of Dogecoin by exploiting Musk's social media influence and public

statements. The judge said that Musk's statements were aspirational and puffery, not factual

claims, and thus no reasonable investor

would rely on them. In 2022, investors accused Musk of using his Twitter following and an

appearance on Saturday Night Live to influence the meme coin's price and allegedly take profits

on his suspected holdings at their expense.

And Ryan Salem, the former FTCS executive who was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison,

has withdrawn a legal request asking that the conditions of his plea deal be enforced or that his plea be thrown out and his sentence vacated.

Last week, Salem's lawyers filed a petition stating that prosecutors obtained his guilty plea

improperly, getting him to agree to a guilty plea by promising that they would cease their

investigations into Michelle Bond, Salem's longtime partner.

Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled he would still hold a hearing on the original petition, regardless

of Salem's

motion to withdraw. Bond, a former USSEC lawyer, was indicted in federal court for taking

illegal campaign contributions from Salem and other FTX employees during her failed
