Literally outside the door of this very pub, one of Warford's most famous sons, Thomas

Francis Marre, raised the Irish tricolor for the first time in 1848.

If you're wondering, yes, that is the same Thomas Francis Marre, who commanded the Irish

Brigade in the American Civil War, and served as a Brigadier general in the Union Army.

Then across the road from Catty Barries is Reginald's tower, one of the oldest buildings
