The people that are stepping into our church

have Ivy League degrees and are working at these,

you know, the big five here in the Bay Area and just being overwhelmed a little bit was like

what are we doing here? Like God why why us you know with our little education and with our small yes on the table, God, why us?

And I would often tell Ben, just that they need a shepherd.

They need someone to guide them into truth and guide them because so much of what I would describe in our context and this is probably describing a lot of progressive cities is that people just want to create their own value system. They want to

pick and choose what they want to believe and then just kind of form their own

way of life, their own rule of life. And I think, you know, one and I hope our time together today

helps you thrive in life and leadership.
