Well, hey everybody and welcome to episode 251 of the podcast. My name is Carrie Newhoff

and I hope our time together today helps you lead like never before.

Well last week we had the one and only Gary Chapman and I'll tell you that was a

fantastic episode it's been a good year so far and I am really looking forward to

today's episode and next week's episode so this is a little bit of a like a part one part two.

So I spent some time in January at Cross Point Church in Nashville. If you are

connected in the church world you probably have heard of Crosspoint.

And so one of the things they've navigated over the last couple years is a big transition in leadership.

They're founding pastor Pete Wilson, stepped back in 2016,

and then Kevin Queen, who will be my guest next week,

was brought in as their new lead pastor.

And that is an incredible story. You're going to love that story. I sit down for

over an hour with Kevin Queen that will be on next Tuesday show. However, I also sat down with a couple

of their senior leadership team. Drew Powell and Matt Warren are on this

interview and it was actually at a dinner with some of the guys from Crosspoint their executive

leadership team back last year where we were having

this conversation about how a rational church which is the model you know my

church has been in their church was in is probably past peak, why it's changing, and what's next for weekend

services.
