My name is Carrie Newhoff and I hope our time together today helps you lead like never before.

Well, you ever wonder why like some churches beat the odds and the others just don't. I mean maybe you think

about that in your community if your church is kind of stuck or you know you just

haven't seen what you hoped you would see yet there's a church down the road

that's that's you know reaching people that you had hoped

you would be able to reach. Why does that happen?

Well, my guest today is Rich Birch, and if you've been around podcast world, many of you know

him from Unseminary.com and from the Unseminary podcast.

He was one of my first guests, we'll talk about that I think episode 8.

And he's also a fellow Canadian who's worked on both sides of the border most recently at liquid church in New Jersey

But also is a leading expert on multi site and many things church and he's just seen a lot of churches and he's got a brand new book out called

unreasonable churches and I sit down and talk to Rich about why some churches just

seem to do such a great job and others seem to you know struggle a little bit more so I think you'll find it a

fascinating conversation about how these churches beat the odds and also because

Rich is a fellow Canadian hey it's a great time to remind you guys that yesterday I launched a brand new
