Meredith downed her first shot tequila and declined the second.

Her co-workers were party people, something she had learned within the first five minutes of getting to the club.

The whole thing wasn't her vibe she hated

the loud music the packed dance floor and the price of drinks usually she'd turn down an invitation

like this but something about tonight was different. She couldn't explain it.

Asked Christine, Meredith's colleague.

Meredith smoothed her hand self-consciously over her straight blonde hair.

I'm not sure I'm ready to dance just yet.

Maybe I'll get a beer. She ordered a Pilsner to sip and listened as Christine and Marley talked about the latest office gossip. She took a long

drink, realizing she felt eyes on her. Meredith looked around and locked her sight on the tall, curly-haired woman

at the end of the bar. The woman wiggled her fingers in greeting, flashing a shiny white smile.

Oh, guys, I'll be right back. Meredith said, holding her gaze on the woman as she walked in her direction.

She wasn't sure what got into her, but Meredith turned on the charm in a way she never had before.

The chemistry between the two of them was instant and undeniable.

The woman, named Fatima, ran her manicured nails up and

down Meredith's arm. Let's dance. Fatima led Meredith to the dance floor, their bodies grinding

up against each other, slow and sensual. Fatima's perfume was floral and sweet,

and Meredith breathed her in. They looked into each other's eyes, smiling, and it was Fatima

who leaned in first to connect her lips to Meredith's.

They kissed on the dance floor, their tongues sliding into each other's mouths as their hands roamed across each other.
