Another sheriff is in trouble related to misusing money from the commissary. Here we go again.

Okay, so let's reset why this is interesting.

Now, this is Clinton County, and we'll talk about that in a second.

But this is interesting because many of you, long-time listeners, will know that Mike Braun's close political ally and friend, Tom Kleininhalter, is the sheriff of Dubois County,

Mike Bronsholm County. He was facing an 80-page probable cause affidavit from the Indiana State Police

for allegedly misusing money from the commissary. So the commissary is the money that people in the jail will pay in for

various food, snacks, you know, various items. And then that money is controlled by the sheriff.

And in most cases, there is a check and balance reporting mechanism to the county, I believe it's the county commissioners.

And in the case of Tom Kleinelter, he was allegedly paying for like flights for his wife to various conferences that she had, you know, nothing to do with for the government.

It was allegedly just a horrible misuse of public money.

And then all of a sudden,

Braun becomes governor.

New state police superintendent comes in.

And the charges magically go away.
