People who are enslaved want you enslaved with them.

Nobody resents someone free in Christ like someone who's not.

And so you're going to be in sin to them.

And so you better know what your rights are in Christ. You better be in the Word of God, not getting a word out here.

The Word is right here.

Did you know, lament was a tremendously important part of the life of the people of God?

Listen, in those days, I'm so thankful for counseling, but listen, you really didn't have to tell

the Hebrew people to go get on somebody's couch and work something out with them. Because let me

tell you, they knew how to grieve because they were taught by God, by God. They would demonstrate their grief. They would tear

at their clothing. You know, there's something about that in it. You have to, you have to work hard to

tear. I mean, just try tearing your clothes right. I was just like, it's not that easy. You'd think it would

be, but like, you know, like you're the incredible Hulk, but all of a sudden it's like, it's not that easy you'd think it would be, but it's like, you're the incredible

halt, but all of a sudden it's like, it's not, and so you're having to work hard, kind of

working up a sweat at it.

They'd reach down, get a whole handful of dirt, put it on their heads.

They would wail and mourn.

They would set aside a certain amount of days.

Sometimes it would be a month. Sometimes it would be a month.

Sometimes it would be 40 days.

And they grieve and grieve and they wail and wail.

And they bring it every bit of it to God.

But we just do not feel the same freedom to do that.
