Hey man, I was just fresh 21 years old. Didn't have any kids. I wasn't married at the time.

And just the city embraced me and they showed me so much love. They kind of, I just grew

up here and this was a spot to just show me so much love and I kind of wanted to reciprocate

that love. It just finally feels like where I grew up and it's the place where I wanted

to end my career.

honor for a guy who was a great Brown and who really was in many ways the face of this

franchise and the face of, you know, the Browns certainly in this city at that time. Now

Joe Thomas obviously is going straight to the Hall of Fame. That's our boy. That's our guy.

Yep. But as a left tackle and he wasn't back then, you know, the media sensation that he is

now. He was just really, really good. Joe Hayden was a corner and was the face and had the number

one selling jersey in the league, which is still one of the craziest things ever. But it's true.

Yeah, he was and he was at everything at all the cabs. You know, he was at all of those cabs

games. He would go to the Indians games at the time. Like he was a man about town. Yes,

you know, that was even really to this day, you know, whether it was, you know, Baker early on

or Miles now, I don't know that anybody's been more man about town than I mean, he's as much as
