0:17.0	As reported by his longtime friend Clifford Meth, Mr. Jean Colan passed away on the night of June 23rd at the age of 84.
0:28.3	In honor of the man, the veteran, the amazing comic book artist and creator, we're going to represent our interview that we did with him back in December 8th of 2005.

1:13.0	Now, Gene, the first question that we always ask everyone is, when did they first start
1:18.0	reading comics? And from what I understand for you, it was when did you first start reading
1:22.1	comic strips? Well, I had to be in the 30s. There was a newspaper in New York called The Sun, and I think one of the first things I ever read was the Dickie Dare, that comic strip was drawn by an artist named a Colton Waugh.
1:41.6	And I just loved that strip. My father would come home from work, and before he even
1:47.0	got out of the subway, I'd grab the paper out of his hand to see what happened next. So that's my
1:52.9	kind of first recollection, followed by a lot of Milton Kinf's work, Terry and the Pirates, Steve Canyon,
