And today we get to talk to Dr. Dave Anderson of the Child Mind Institute.

He is somebody who I think is so brilliant.

I actually sought him out just to ask questions about you know very like regular parenting

things I know he's like the super duper expert and works with you know lots of

really tough cases but I just think that he's got really great parenting advice even

for the simple things like sibling rivalry and you know making sure that I'm

disciplining my kids in in a very thoughtful way. But you know we really do also you get into some of

them the more challenging topics such as ADHD which is his specialty. We do touch a little bit on autism. He speaks a million miles a minute.

He is super, super smart. Like you're really smart. Maybe don't listen to this in traffic.

Listen to this with your headphones on when you're on a walk and really pay attention to what he's saying

because he's just, he's brilliant and I love that his focus is on strategies for parents.

Like he really wants to give parents the tools they need to help their kids succeed and

help their kids.

And his other, it seems like his other really big cause is,'t be afraid to seek out an expert opinion. I think

I think you know the the sort of anticipation of a diagnosis or the anticipation that

you'll get treatments that your kid doesn't need, stops people from going and seeing an expert.

And his thing is it should be as routine and as normal and without any stigma the way that going to a pediatrician is because
