This week, get ready, as Emery shares with us, the throne of David.

David, a man after God's own heart. A shepherd boy who beat the odds and rose above his brothers

and his bloodline to be anointed as the king to come. The boy who dropped off some bread and cheese

to his brothers on the front lines, only to pick up a stone and take on a giant on the battlefield

for defying the God of Israel.

He prophesied success and in seconds.

The giant was laid out and headless.

The courage of a boy who'd fought private battles thrust this young man into the public eye.

His renown began to spread in such a way that the current king soon wanted him
