It's the final week of our Christmas devotional. I'm so grateful for Emory for sharing excerpts from her newest book, On to Us a Child's Born, to help immerse us in a journey towards the promised King Jesus this Advent season. This reading is titled, God with us. Can you imagine a greater gift than that?

We're praying that you have a very merry and blessed Christmas, from the Vellotin family to yours.

A virgin will conceive and give birth and call his name Emmanuel, God with us.

Isaiah's prophecy took 700 years to come to fruition,

but Luke tells us of Mary,

a young woman, perhaps 14 or 15 years old,

And how does a teenager betrothed, not yet married, grapple with the news that she will become pregnant and not only carry,
