The beauty of cathedrals, one, it reminds us, again, a glimpse of heaven, and two, it's a gift to people

who might not otherwise have a lot of beauty in their lives. They might not know who they are,

but when pastor at the bedside of a season saint starts

praying the Lord's Prayer, those words come back.

So I like to think of memorization as Alzheimer's proofing ourselves and our children.

So that to give thanks, I must think of not the things that I need to do, but the things

that God has done.

So now I'm no longer thinking of the future, but I'm remembering the past.

I'm no longer thinking of myself, but I'm thinking of God.
