| 1:34.1 | Yeah, so I think as Christians, we often understand at one level. We talk about that true freedom is found in Christ. So we do have this language of piety where we understand freedom |
| 1:39.2 | as this kind of internal thing that is ultimately a matter for the soul. And yet, at the same time as Americans, |
| 1:47.0 | we instinctively think of freedom in terms of the multiplication of options, in terms of |
| 1:53.3 | being able to keep our options open, do what we want with from the meddling of authority. |
| 1:59.1 | And this lies behind the way we think about politics. this lies behind our way we think about politics. |
