All right. This is the second part of our special edition, this roundtable that we're doing on the Pharisees because they play an important role.

And I think in many ways they're so misunderstood in the Gospels and with this second part it's just going to be me and the

guest that we've had on before so I won't do a lot of introduction for him but this

is Jeff Chadwick you remember him when we did Luke two and a dear friend of

mine that we've spent a lot of time in Israel together and he spent a lot of time

there both the teaching at the Jerusalem Center and excavating and so on and has taught so much

about the culture of the New Testament world teaching the course on like ancient New Jersey

Studies and culture and so on at the Jerusalem Center, I think more than anyone else.

You've taught that course more than anyone. And so you've had a lot of time to research,

think, teach about, and so on about the Pharisees. And so we're here to hear your take.

We'll give you a little while to just kind of talk about, and I know you've written about it.

I've read what you've written. And so you can talk about the Pharisees a talk about, and I know you've written about it. I've read what you've written.

And so you can talk about the Furses a little bit, and then we'll just dialogue about it.

It's great to be with you, Carrie, as usual, old buddies that have been around the world with each other from Egypt to Jesrio and all of the places in between. Jordan and Turkey and

yeah. Yeah. Oh, and then terrible things happening in Turkey today, of course, because of the earthquake.

I think all of our prayers really should head toward Turkey and Syria because thousands of people

have been infected by this. And that's just off the record from what we're talking about.

But that's, you know, a part of being a disciple of Christ is to pray for others and do what

you can to help.

And may we somehow do that.

And we both have friends in Turkey and Syria.
