Yeah, I mean, look, to me, it's not about one quarterback's better than the other.

Regardless of which quarterback you have, you're going to be building a team around a middle of the pack, top 15-ish type of quarterback.

That's what you're going to be doing, whether it's Mac or Jimmy. So when you're building the team, the team around the quarterback has to be better. Garapolo just cost you money. Look out and free agency. There's not a lot of great free agents at positions of need for the Patriots, and I don't want to overpay for a tackle. So if you brought Garapolo in and traded Mac Jones and then took

that draft cap, let's say you get a top 40 pick. Let's say you got 40 from the Saints, right?

If you then took that and either used it in the draft, so now you have what, 14, 40, and 46,

or you package it in a trade for a veteran guy, you have a better overall team.

So it's not Jimmy greater than sign Mac.

You have so many other needs to fill and you're well past the idea that you have the type of quarterback you can just throw in there

who will be human spackle and cover for all your roster shortcomings. That guy was Brady. That was the system, air quotes, that Bill was running. That system doesn't work with a non-alique quarterback. And that's what they're going to be putting on the field next year either way. Plus, I think this, you've heard me say this. I think this re-energizes Bill.

Bill gets his guy. Bill's taken a lot of heat over the last three years and particularly last year. He gets his guy back and they start winning and he gets to say, see, I told you so. If you would just let me go with this guy all along, look what would have happened? What do you think, Tim? Bill gets his groove back. he gets his quarterback back, his binky, Mac Jones out.
