The When Chris Brown first came on to the music scene way back in 2005, everyone was almost certain

we were looking at the next pop and hip-hop superstar. His debut song

Runnet skyrocketed to number one almost overnight and the young smooth-voiced heart

throb stole the hearts of millions of people. And did I mention that he could also dance really good too?

Beyond the dimples and seemingly sweet personality, that was one of the biggest selling points of the young artist.

People were certain that we were seeing the beginning of the next music legend.

Some even compared him to Michael Jackson,

and perhaps if everything had gone to plan, he would have reached that status.

But as it turns out, his super sweet and naive personality was not even remotely close to reality.

Instead, through the years, we have seen a much different side to Chris Brown,

and a more violent side to him.

His list of lawsuits and accusations is so long

that a variety of news sources and

tabloids alike have taken the time to carefully list them all out.

Every time a violent outburst had been successfully swept under the rug,

explained away, or shadowed by a new hit single, a seemingly brand

new accusation would come up to replace the last.

Over his two decade-long career, he has been accused multiple times of violence against women.

He has gotten in very public fights with some of the most famous musicians in the world, including

Frank Ocean and Drake, and somehow he's still releasing music just fine.

While he has completed sometime in rehab and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder,

none of that can completely excuse his apparent inability to keep himself out of trouble.
