Did you know that you can also use a significator to symbolize a situation? For example, you might choose the Eight of Wands if you're asking about travel. In this wee lesson, I'll talk about picking a card for a particular event - and I'll share a quick spread.

0:35.3	re-tero. For today's episode, our topic is choosing significators for situations. Let's begin. So in the last few episodes I discuss
0:46.4	signifigators and to recap a significator is a card consciously chosen to
0:51.8	represent a person.
0:53.8	And that could be the questioner or maybe someone else
0:56.9	that they're asking about.
0:58.7	While that is the general way
1:00.7	signicators are used, another way that I like to work with them is by choosing
1:05.6	one to represent a situation. For example, let's say I'm asking about my dysfunctional family. Well if I'm using a particular
1:15.0	spread I might choose the 10 of cups reversed because to me that is the
1:20.0	ultimate dysfunctional family card.
1:23.2	Now what about if I wanted to look at my business?
1:25.7	I might choose the emperor or maybe the eight of penicles.
1:29.1	A question about my house?
1:30.9	Maybe the four of wants. So you might be asking when might I do this. Well, this depends on
1:37.3	you know the spread but it also might be a time when I want to specifically focus on a particular issue in my life,
1:46.0	you know, or maybe I want a focal point while I shuffle the cards.
1:51.0	All right, I'm going to share a spread that I like to use when I pull a
1:54.2	significator for a situation. So let's go back to a question about my house. So
1:59.6	currently I'm in the process of paying off my mortgage, which is very exciting.
